Bagaimana Mungkin? | How Can It Be?

Pembacaan Alkitab: Bilangan 29-30

Tuhan memeringatkan Israel akan perayaan-perayaan yang perlu mereka adakan dengan mempersembahkan korban-korban bakaran. Jika dilihat dari apa yang Tuhan minta sebagai persembahan korban bakaran selama berlangsungnya suatu perayaan, kita dapat lihat bahwa Israel tentunya perlu sangat diberkati untuk dapat mempersembahkan sebegitu banyak korban. Untuk Perayaan bulan ke tujuh secara total inilah jumlah korban yang perlu dikorbankan: 73 ekor lembu jantan, 17 ekor domba jantan, 119 ekor domba berumur satu tahun, 10 ekor kambing jantan. Betapa banyaknya domba. lembu, dan kambing yang perlu disiapkan untuk korban dalam perayaan-perayaan di bulan ke tujuh. belum lagi perayaan lain-lainnya selama setahun berlangsung. Jika Tuhan dapat memberikan perintah ini, tentunya Tuhan juga yang akan mencukupkan Israel untuk dapat mempersembahkan korban-korban ini.

Begitu juga dengan kehidupan kita. Bila Tuhan meminta kita untuk lakukan sesuatu, Tuhan pasti yang memenuhi dan Tuhanlah yang akan mencukupi. Beberapa dari kita bila melihat jumlah yang perlu dikorbankan mungkin bertanya, "Bagaimana mungkin?", "Dari mana semua ini, bila Israel tadinya adalah budak?" atau "Bagaimana sebegitu banyak hewan dapat bertahan di padang gurun berkeliling beserta dengan bangsa Israel?". Apapun itu, segala sesuatu itu mungkin bagi Allah, walaupun kelihatannya tidak mungkin, tetapi karena ada Tuhan yang memegang alih di dalam segala situasi, maka segalanya itu mungkin.

Jadi, biarlah kita juga percaya akan kuasa Tuhan yang dapat menjadikan yang tidak mungkin menjadi mungkin. Biarlah juga kita membiarkan Tuhan yang menjadi Tuan dan mengambil alih hidup kita.

Bible Reading: Numbers 29-30

The Lord reminded the Israelites of the offerings that they should do with burnt offering. If we look at what the Lord wants as burnt offerings, we will see that the Israelites would need to be really blessed to be able to offer up that many burnt offerings. For the feasts on the seventh month, in total this is the amount of livestock for the burnt offerings: 73 bulls, 17 rams, 119 lambs in their first year and 10 goat. Look at how many of the livestock need to be prepares just for the feasts and offering on the seventh month, more over, there are still other feasts and offerings through out the year. If the Lord is able to give this command, of course the Lord also will be the one who satisfy the need of Israelites to be able to offer up these burnt offerings.

The same also applies to our lives. If the Lord asks us to do some things, the Lord will fulfill and satisfy our needs. Some of us may look at the amount to be offered and may asks, "How can it be?, "Where would all these come from if Israelites were all slaves?" or " How can that many livestock are able to withstand the journey in the desert with the Israelites?". Whatever it is, all things are possible for God, even though it may seem impossible, but because the Lord exist and holds the control in all situation, then all things are possible.

So, let us also believe in the power of the Lord who makes all the impossible becomes possible. Let us also let the Lord become Lord and take control over our lives.
