Bersaksi Bagi Tuhan | Testifying For The Lord

Pembacaan Alkitab: Lukas 21

Pada saat kita menerima Tuhan Yesus Kristus sebagai satu-satunya Tuhan dan Juru Selamat kita, hidup kita bukan lagi milik kita sendiri tetapi milik Kristus. Sebab hidup kita yang seharusnya berjalan menuju neraka tidak lagi mengarah ke neraka tetapi mengarah kepada kehidupan kekal bersama Tuhan Yesus karena darah-Nya. Hidup kita yang tadinya terikat oleh dosa dan kutuk, tidak lagi terbelenggu tetapi semua dosa telah dihapuskan dan kutuk telah dipatahkan oleh karena darah-Nya. Oleh karena itu hidup kita bukan lagi milik kita, tetapi sudah sepatutnya kita menghidupi hidup kita ini untuk Tuhan Yesus Kristus, Penyelamat dan Penebus hidup kita.

Sebab bila ktia mengikuti Tuhan dengan sungguh-sungguh, maka apa yang kita lakukan, apa yang kita perbuat dan di dalam segala situasi dan kondisi, hidup kita ini memuliakan dan mencertiakan serta bersaksi akan Tuhan Yesus Kristus. Walaupun mungkin kita akan dibenci, dimaki-maki, diejek, beberapa mungkin mengalami penindasan atau penganiayaan, tetapi Tuhan yang akan memberikan kepada kita hikmat untuk dapat berkata-kata di dalam situasi-situasi seperti itu sehingga kita dapat ditentang. Tetapi yang perlu ada di hati dan pikiran kita bukanlah untuk kita dapat lepas dari semua itu, tetapi agar kita dapat bersaksi tentang Tuhan Yesus Krsitus. Sebab Tuhan selalu membukan kesempatan-kesempatan agar kita dapat bersaksi, tetapi hanya bila kita memiliki pikiran dan hati untuk bersaksi bagi Tuhan dalam setiap waktu, barulah kita dapat melihat kesempatan-kesempatan yang Tuhan berikan kepada kita setiap harinya.

Oleh karena itu, marilah kita hidup untuk Tuhan Yesus Kristus. Bukan hanya di mulut, tetapi dalam hati, pikiran dan segenap kehidupan kita. Ingatlah, hidup kita telah dibayar penuh oleh Tuhan Yesus Kristus, oleh karena itu, hidup kita bukan lagi milik kita, tetapi milik Tuhan dan untuk Tuhan. Jadi, biarlah kita bersaksi bagi Tuhan dalam setiap kesempatan yang Tuhan telah berikan kepada kita.

Bible Reading: Luke 21

When we received the Lord Jesus Christ as our only Lord and Saviour, our lives is no longer ours but it is Christ's. Because our lives that were walking towards hell is no longer heading to hell but it is heading toward eternal life with the Lord Jesus because of His blood. Our lives that were bound by sins and curses, are no longer bound by them but all sins are washed away and curses are broken because of His blood. Therefore, our lives is no longer ours but we should live this life for our Lord Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Redeemer.

For if we follow the Lord with our whole heart, then, whatever we do, whatever we act upon and in all situation and condition, our lives glorifies, tells and testify about our Lord Jesus Christ. Maybe we will be hated, scolded, mocked, some may be experiencing persecution, but the Lord is the one who will give us wisdom to speak in those situations so that they would not be able to resist us. But what we need to have in our hearts and minds are not how we can be free from all these, but it is so that we can testify and be a witness for the Lord Jesus Christ. For the Lord always opens up opportunities so that we can testify, but only if we have the mind and the heart to want to testify for the Lord in every moment that we can see these opportunities that the Lord gave to us every day.

Therefore, let us live our lives for the Lord Jesus Christ. Not only in our mouths, but in our hearts, minds and all of our lives. Remember that our lives has been paid in full by the Lord Jesus Christ, therefore, our lives is no longer ours but it is the Lord's and for the Lord. So, let us testify for the Lord in every opportunities that the Lord had given ti us.
