Saling Melengkapi | Completing Each Other

Pembacaan Alkitab: Bilangan 17-18

Seperti yang telah kita ketahui sebelum-sebelumnya, Tuhan mengkhususkan suku Lewi untuk pekerjaan Keman Pertemuan dan adalah milik Tuhan. Begitu juga dengan Harun dan keturunannya yang adalah Imam. Tuhan berkata bahwa mereka tidak akan mendapatkan milik pusaka di antara bangsa Israel, sebab mereka hidup hanya untuk melayani Tuhan dan umat-Nya. Hidup mereka adalah milik Tuhan dan Tuhan adalah milik mereka. Tetapi kita mungkin bertanya dan berpikir, bagaimana mereka dapat hidup setiap harinya bila mereka hanya mengerjakan tugas kemah pertemuan dan tidak bercocok tanam atau menggembalakan domba atau pekerjaan-pekerjaan lainnya? Di sinilah kita dapat melihat kebesaran Tuhan.

Tuhan memerintahkan agar persembahan persepuluhan yang bangsa Israel harus berikan kepada Tuhan diberikan kepada suku Lewi. Yakni, 10% dari semua hasil dari 12 suku Israel diberikan kepada suku Lewi yang hanya satu suku dan bukanlah yang terbanyak. Lalu untuk para imam, yaitu keturunan Harun, 10% dari apa yang suku Lewi dapat akan diberikan kepada Harun dan keturunannya. Dengan begitu suku Lewi beserta Harun dan keturunannya tidak akan pernah kekurangan dalam apapun, sebab ada 12 suku Israel lainnya yang mendukung kehidupan mereka. Dan sebagai gantinya, suku Lewi beserta Harun dan keturunannya bekerja keras untuk mewakili umat Israel di hadapan Tuhan. Sungguh luar biasanya Tuhan kita itu. Apa yang diaturnya sangatlah sempurna. Setiap orang memiliki bagiannya masing-masing dan tugasnya masing-masing dan mereka saling melengkapi. Suku Lewi dan para imam melengkapi sisi rohani dari kehidupan Israel dan suku-suku Israel melengkapi sisi jasmani dari kehidupan suku Lewi.

Oleh sebab itu, marilah kita juga mencari hati Tuhan agar kita tahu bagian kita yang perlu kita lakukan untuk saling melengkapi di dalam satu Tubuh Kristus ini. Biarlah kita hidup untuk Tuhan dan biarlah apa yang kita lakukan di dalam hidup ini adalah apa yang Tuhan telah tetapkan dan rencanakan bagi kita.

BIble Reading: Numbers 17-18

As we have known from before, the Lord separates the Levites for the work of the Tabernacle and belong to the Lord. So is with Aaron and his descendants who are priests. The Lord said that they will not get an inheritance in the midst of the Israelites because they live only to serve the Lord and His people. Their lives belong to the Lord and they have the Lord as their inheritance. But we may ask or think, how would they live daily if they only doing the work of the tabernacle and do not plant or tend the flock or other jobs? From here, we can see the greatness of the Lord.

The Lord commanded that the Israelites gives tithe, that is a tenth of what the work of their hands, to the Lord to give to the Levites. That is 10% of all the produce of 12 tribes of Israel are given to the Levites who is only one tribe and not the one with the most number of people. Then for the priests, that is the descendants of Aaron, 10% of what the Levites received will be given to them. That way, the Levites along with Aaron and his descendants will never lack because there is 12 tribes of Israel who supports their lives. And as an exchange for that, the Levites along with Aaron and his descendants work hard to represents Israelites before the Lord. How amazing our Lord is. Whatever that He has planned is perfect. Everyoen has their own parts and duties and they complete each other. The Levites and the priest complete the spiritual side of the Israelites and the Israelites complete the physical side of the Levites.

Therefore, let us also seek the heart of the Lord so that we may know our parts to do to complete each other in one Body of Christ. Let us live for the Lord and let whatever we do in this life is what the Lord has set and planned for us.
