Pembacaan Alkitab: Yohanes 17

Bila kita perhatikan, Tuhan Yesus sendiri berdoa bagi kita semua di hadapan Bapa. Tuhan berdoa bagi kita yang mengenal Dia, dan bagi mereka yang akan percaya oleh karena pemberitaan kita. Dan dapat kita lihat bahwa doa Tuhan Yesus adalah agar kita hidup di dalam Dia seperti Bapa di dalam Yesus, agar kemuliaan-Nya terpancar seperti kemuliaan Bapa di dalam Yesus, agar kasih-Nya terpancar seperti kasih Bapa di dalam Yesus dan agar kita menjadi satu dengan Bapa seperti Yesus dan Bapa adalah satu. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Tuhan Yesus berdoa agar kita menjadi serupa dengan-Nya. Inilah kerinduan Tuhan Yesus di dalam hidup kita.

Oleh karena itu, biarlah kita terus mencari wajah Yesus, membaca, merenungkan dan melakukan Firman Tuhan agar kita makin mengenal Tuhan kita dan untuk rajin dan tekun berdoa, bersaat teduh untuk membangun hubungan yang intim dengan Tuhan Yesus Kristus melalui Roh Kudus yang memimpin dan membukakan pewahyuan, sehingga kita makin mengenal Tuhan kita. Agar kita makin kecil dan Tuhan makin besar dan agar hidup kita makin diubahkan seperti kehidupan Yesus. Jadi, marilah kita berjalan menuju kesatuan bersama Tuhan Yesus Kristus seperti yang dirindukan-Nya.

If we take notice, the Lord Jesus Himself prays for us before the Father. The Lord prayed for us who knows Him and for those who will come to know Him because of our testimonies. And we can see that the prayer of the Lord Jesus is for us to live in Him as He lives in the Father, for His glory to shine through as the Father's glory in Jesus, for His love to be reflected in us as the Father's love in Jesus and for us to become one with the Father as Jesus and the Father are one. It can be concluded that the Lord Jesus prayed so that we would become like Him. This is His desire in us.

Therefore, let us keep on seeking His face, reading, meditating and doing the Word of God so that we may come to know the Lord more and for us to diligently pray, have a quiet time and to build a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ through theguidance and revelations of the Holy Spirit, so that we may know our Lord. So that we may become smaller and Him bigger and so that our lives may be changed like the life of Jesus. So, let us walk towards unity with the Lord Jesus Christ as He desires.
