Pembacaan Alkitab: 2Raja-Raja 7-8

Bible Reading: 2Kings 7-8

When Israelites was surrounded by the Arameans, they almost ran out of food and that the prices went up really high. But through the prophet Elisha, the Lord said to the king of Israel that soon it will all be over. In this event, there were also 4 lepers who were in front of the gate and they decided to go to the camp of the Arameans because they thought that they were going to die which ever way they choose. But when they arrive at the camp of the Arameans, there were no one there but all their belongings were left behind. Because the Lord had made is so that the Arameans fled because they heard chariots, horses and armies. Let us look at these 4 lepers. When they arrived at the camp of the Arameans, they enjoyed the food, drinks and the things left by the Arameans. Logically, as a group of people who were an outcast and rejected because of their leprosy, they did not keep this good news to themselves, but they decided to share this good news to the king of Israel and the people in the city.

Let us learn from these 4 lepers. Even though maybe the people around us rejects us, as if we were thrown out and no one cares, we still need to keep on sharing the good news to them. We still love them and want them to also experience the blessings that we received. Therefore, let us share the good news of Salvation that we have received and believed to those around us. Do not keep it to ourselves.
