Israel mengucapkan syukur kepada Tuhan bukan hanya karena mereka telah ditolong Tuhan dan telah melihat kuasa tangan Tuhan. Tetapi mereka juga mengucap syukur karena mereka diuji oleh Tuhan, karena mereka dimurnikan oleh Tuhan. Seringkali ketika kita diuji, kita tidak sadar dan baru akan melihat bahwa semuanya itu baik ketika kita telah melewatinya dan melihat hasil dari ujian itu. Kita tahu bahwa tantangan membuat kita makin kuat karena itu membuat kita makin mencari Tuhan dan bersandar kepada Tuhan. Oleh karena itu biarlah kita belajar untuk benar-benar mengucap syukur akan segala hal dan bukan hanya akan hal-hal yang baik. Tetapi di dalam situasi yang tidak menguntungkan, keadaan yang buruk, kita perlu untuk juga mengucap syukur kepada Tuhan. Sebab dengan mengucap syukur dari hati yang paling dalam, kita benar-benar beriman bahwa Tuhan yang pegang kontrol dan Ia yang akan memimpin kita melewati segala hal, baik ataupun buruk. Jadi, biarlah kita benar-benar beriman penuh kepada Tuhan agar ktia dapat selalu mengucap syukur.

Bible Reading: Psalm 66-67
Israelites gave thanks to the Lord not only because they were helped by the Lord and have seen the mighty hands of the Lord. But they also gave thanks because they have been tested by the Lord and they are purified by the Lord. Many times when we are tested, we do not realise it and will only see that all is good when we have gone through it and have seen the results of that test. We know that challenges makes us stronger because it makes us seek the Lord more and rely on Him more. Therefore, let us learn to really give thanks over all things and not only for the good things. But in not so good situation, bad circumstances, we also need to give thanks to the Lord. For by giving thanks from the deepest of our hearts, we really have faith that the Lord is in control and He will lead us through all things, good or bad. So, let us really have faith in the Lord so that we may give thanks at all times.
