Semasa perjalanan Paulus sampai di pasal ini, kita dapat melihat bahwa tidak semua orang menerima Firman Tuhan dengan hati yang terbuka dan percaya. Ada yang tidak percaya dan menganggap semuanya itu bohong, ada juga yang iri hati karena para pengikutnya meninggalkan mereka dan mengikuti Paulus dan alasan lainnya. Tetapi hal itu tidak memberhentikan Paulus dari memberitakan Injil tentang Yesus. Dan inilah yang perlu kita lakukan juga, yakni untuk tidak berhenti menginjil tetnang Yesus. Akan ada yang menolak, ada yang menganggap semuanya itu takhayul atau bohong, ada yang mungkin menjadi iri atau benci karena Injil. Tetapi janganlah hal-hal itu menghentikan kita untuk terus menginjil tentang Yesus. Karena walaupun ada yang menolak Yesus, namun ada juga yang menerima dan percaya kepada Yesus karena pemberitaan Injil. Dan satu jiwa saja yang bertobat dan percaya kepada Tuhan Yesus Kristus, maka seluruh surga bersukacita. Oleh karena itu, walaupun kita mungkin mengalami banyak penolakan, ejekan dan sebagainya, bila ada satu saja yang bertobat, maka semuanya itu tidak sia-sia. Jadi, biarlah kita terus tekun dalam memberitakan Injil walaupun banyak yang menolak.

Bible Reading: Acts 17
Throughout the journey of Paul until this chapter, we can see that not everyone received the Word of God with an open and believing heart. There are those who do no believe and think of it as a lie, some are jealous because their followers now follows Paul and for other reasons too. But these did not stop Paul from preaching the Gospel about Jesus. And this is what we need to do too, that is to not stop preaching about Jesus. There will be some who rejects, some tho think of it as just an old wives tale or a lie, some may become jealous or hate us because of the Gospel. But do not let those things stop us to continue preaching the Gospel of Jesus. For even though there are those who rejects Jesus, but there are also those who receives and believes in Jesus because of the Gospel. And even if only one soul repents and believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, then the whole heaven are rejoicing. Therefore, even though we may be experiencing many rejections, mocking and others, if there is at least one who repents, then all of it are worth the effort. So, let us keep on persevering in preaching the Gospel even though many rejects.
