Pembacaan Alkitab: Yosua 23-24
Israel telah melewati banyak sekali pengalaman bersama Tuhan. Mereka telah mendengar akan pekerjaan tangan Tuhan kepada generasi-generasi sebelum mereka dan mereka juga telah mengalami kuasa Tuhan sendiri. Tetapi di tengah-tengah mereka masih ada allah-allah asing yang perlu disingkirkan dan yang mereka singkirkan setelah Yosua menantang mereka untuk mengambil keputusan untuk ikuti Tuhan atau allah asing. Dari kehidupan Israel kita dapat melihat bagaimana pengalaman seseorang bersama Tuhan, walaupun memang penuh kuasa dan hal-hal yang ajaib, tidak dapat membuat seseorang secara penuh beribadah kepada Tuhan. Pengalaman-pengalaman kita dengan Tuhan selalu mengingatkan kita akan Tuhan, akan kebenaran-Nya dan dapat mendorong kita agar kita makin percaya kepada Tuhan. Tetapi setiap harinya pilihan tetap di tangan kita, apakah kita mau tetap mengikuti Tuhan atau mengikuti allah asing. Pengalaman dengan Tuhan berguna untuk mengkonformasikan janji dan kebenaran Tuhan sehingga kita makin percaya dan iman kita tumbuh karena melihat buah dari iman kita kepada Tuhan. Jadi, tiap hari kita perlu memilih untuk ikuti Tuhan, membaca dan merenungkan Firman Tuhan, beriman dan alami Tuhan, dengan begitu kita akan terus berjalan di dalam Tuhan dan bertumbuh makin dewasa di dalam Tuhan.

Bible Reading: Joshua 23-24
Israel has gone through a lot of experiences with the Lord. They have heard of the work of the hand of God to the generations before them and they too have experience the power of God themselves. But there were still foreign gods in their midst that needs to be rid of, which they did after Joshua challenged them to make the decision of following the Lord or other gods. From the life of Israel, we can see that a person's experience, though it is full of power and miracles, cannot make a person fully committed to God. Our experiences with God always remiond us of the Lord, of His righteousness and can encourage us to believe in God more. But every day decision remains in our hands, do we want to keep on following the Lord or do we follow other gods. Experiences with the Lord is useful to confirm the promises and truth of God that we may believe, trust in Him more and our faith may grow because we see the fruit of our faith to God. So, everyday we need to choose to follow the Lord, read and meditate on the Word of God, have faith and experience the Lord so that we may keep on walking in the Lord and growing into maturity in God.
