Pembacaan Alkitab: Lukas 21
Tuhan Yesus ingin agar kita semua selalu waspada di dalam kehidupan kita, sebab kerajaan Tuhan sudah dan segera datang. Melalui kematian, kebangkitan, pengangkatan Tuhan Yesus Kristus dan turunnya Roh Kudus atas mereka yang menantikan dan memintanya dari pada Bapa di Surga, kerajaan Tuhan telah datang di tengah-tengah kita. Tetapi kesudahannya, kesempurnaan dari kerajaan Tuhan hanya akan terjadi ketika Tuhan Yesus datang kembali ke dunia untuk kedua kalinya. Oleh sebab itulah Tuhan mengajarkan agar kita berdoa untuk kehendak Tuhan terjadi di bumi seperti di surga. Oleh sebab itu jugalah Tuhan mengajarkan kita agar kita selalu waspada, sebab waktunya sudah dekat dan bila kita tidak ditemukan taat dan setia pada akhir hidup kita atau pada saat Tuhan datang kembali, maka keselamatan itu tidak ada pada kita. Maka dari itu, biarlah kita hidup dalam ketaatan dan kesetiaan kepada Tuhan, melakukan Firman-Nya yang memerintahkan agar kita menjadikan seluruh bangsa murid-murid-Nya, membaptis mereka dalam nama Bapa, Putra dan Roh Kudus dan untuk mengasihi Tuhan dengan seluruh hidup kita, serta mengasihi sesama kita. Agar, kapanpun dan di manapun, kita ditemukan setia dan taat di hadapan Tuhan.

Bible Reading: Luke 21
The Lord Jesus wants us to always be alert in all of our lives, for the kingdom of God has and is coming. Through the death, resurrection, ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ and the pouring out of Holy Spirit to those who waits and asks of the Father in Heaven, the kingdom of God has come in our midst. But the completion of hte kingdom of God will only happen when the Lord Jesus comes back to earth the second time. That is why the Lord taught us to pray for His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. That is also why the Lord taught us to always be alert, for the time is near and if we are not found obedient and faithful at the end of our lives or when the Lord comes back, then that salvation is not with us. Therefore, let us live in obedience and faithfulness to the Lord, doing the Word of God which commanded us to make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and to love the Lord with all of our lives as well as loving others. So that, whenever and whereever, we will be found obedient and faithful to the Lord.
