Pembacaan Alkitab: Lukas 19
Yesus memiliki sesuatu yang orang Farisi dan para ahli Taurat tidak miliki. Dan karena suatu hal itu, orang banyak mengikuti Yesus, dan Ia membuat seluruh rakyat terpikat dan ingin mendengarkan Dia. Sedangkan kepada orang Farisi dan para ahli Taurat, orang-orang mendengarkan mereka hanya karena mereka memiliki posisi dan patut dihormati. Ada suatu perbedaan yang jelas antara Yesus dan orang Farisi atau para ahli Taurat. Perbedaan itu adalah hidup yang memancarkan Firman Tuhan dan hidup yang hanya menghafalkan Firman Tuhan. Hidup Yesus adalah hidup yang penuh dengan Firman Tuhan, dalam tindakan, perkataan dan juga kasih-Nya yang nyata. Sedangkan hidup orang Farisi dan para ahli Taurat hanya penuh dengan pengetahuan dan Firman yang tertulis saja, tetapi tidak ada di dalam tindakan dan kasih mereka dan bahkan mereka menghakimi orang-orang, padahal mereka seharusnya mengasihi orang-orang. Dan bila kita ingin seperti Yesus, maka kita perlu untuk membiarkan FIrman Tuhan hidup melalui hidup kita, bukan hanya sebagai pengetahuan di dalam pikiran dan ingatan kita saja, tetapi sebagai kasih yang nyata dan tindakan yang nyata. Dengan begitu kita akan memiliki suatu daya tarik yang dapat membawa lebih banyak lagi orang kepada pengenalan akan Tuhan Yesus Kristus. Jadi, manakah yang kita pilih: hidup seperti Yesus atau hidup seperti orang Farisi atau para ahli Taurat?

Bible Reading: Luke 19
Jesus has something that the Pharisees and the teachers of the law does not. And because of this, the crowd followed Jesus and He made the people attracted to listen to Him. While to the Pharisees and the teachers of the Law, people listen to them only because they have position and should be respected. There is a clear difference between Jesus and the Pharisees or the teachers of the Law. That difference is in the life that reflects the Word of God and a life that is only memorising the Word of God. The life of Jesus is a life that is full of the Word of God, in actions, words and in love that is substantial. While the life of the Pharisees and the teachers of the Law are only full of knowledge and written Word of God, but there was none in action or love and they even judge others where they should have loved. And if we want to be like Jesus, then we need to let the Word of God live through us, not just as a knowledge in our minds and memories, but as a substantial love and real actions. That way, we will have a magnetic pull that could bring more people to the realisation of knowing the Lord Jesus Christ. So, which one will we choose: life like Jesus or like the Pharisees or the teachers of the Law?

Ada suatu perbedaan yang jelas antara Yesus dan orang Farisi atau para ahli Taurat. Perbedaan itu adalah hidup yang memancarkan Firman Tuhan dan hidup yang hanya menghafalkan Firman Tuhan. Hidup Yesus adalah hidup yang penuh dengan Firman Tuhan, dalam tindakan, perkataan dan juga kasih-Nya yang nyata. Sedangkan hidup orang Farisi dan para ahli Taurat hanya penuh dengan pengetahuan dan Firman yang tertulis saja, tetapi tidak ada di dalam tindakan dan kasih mereka dan bahkan mereka menghakimi orang-orang, padahal mereka seharusnya mengasihi orang-orang. Dan bila kita ingin seperti Yesus, maka kita perlu untuk membiarkan FIrman Tuhan hidup melalui hidup kita, bukan hanya sebagai pengetahuan di dalam pikiran dan ingatan kita saja, tetapi sebagai kasih yang nyata dan tindakan yang nyata. Dengan begitu kita akan memiliki suatu daya tarik yang dapat membawa lebih banyak lagi orang kepada pengenalan akan Tuhan Yesus Kristus. Jadi, manakah yang kita pilih: hidup seperti Yesus atau hidup seperti orang Farisi atau para ahli Taurat?
