Pembacaan Alkitab: Lukas 8
Ketika Tuhan Yesus mengajarkan perumpamaan tentang seorang penabur, tidak ada yang mengerti apa yang Ia maksudkan. Murid-murid-Nya pun tidak sehingga mereka bertanya kepada Yesus akan maksud dari perumpamaan itu. Dan Yesus berkata bahwa kepada mereka diberikan karunia untuk mengetahui rahasia Kerajaan Allah, sedangkan kepada orang-orang lain, hanyalah sebuah perumpamaan. Inilah bedanya antara murid Kristus yang memberikan segalanya untuk mengikuti Tuhan Yesus dan khalayak ramai yang hanya mengikuti apapun yang sedang diikuti banyak orang saat itu. Kepada murid-murid Yesus telah diberikan karunia untuk mengetahui rahasia-rahasia kerajaan Allah, tetapi mereka tetap perlu bertanya. Sama seperti kita, bila kita ingin mengetahui rahasia-rahasia kerajaan Allah, hikmat-Nya, Firman-Nya, maka kita perlu menjadi murid Kristus, yakni orang yang rela meninggalkan segalanya untuk mengikuti Tuhan dan bukan mengikuti Tuhan hanya karena mengikuti apa yang dilakukan oleh banyak orang. Dan setelah kita menjadi murid Tuhan dan bukan hanya ikut-ikutan, biarlah kita bertanya kepada Tuhan akan maksud dari Firman-Nya bagi kita, akan apa yang Ia ingin ajarkan kepada kita. Biarlah Roh Kudus yang mengajarkan dan membukakan pewahyuan kepada kita agar kita mengerti dan tahu akan rahasia-rahasia kerajaan Allah. Jadi, hikmat dan pewahyuan bukan hanya diberikan kepada mereka yang memiliki posisi seperti pendeta atau pastur atau para pemimpin, tetapi kepada setiap orang percaya yang adalah murid Kristus dan yang memintanya kepada Tuhan Yesus Kristus. Maka dari itu, biarlah kita mulai hidup sebagai murid Kristus, baca, renungkan, dalami Firman Tuhan dan bertanya kepada Tuhan akan pewahyuan dan pengajaran.

Bible Reading: Luke 8
When the Lord Jesus taught the parable of a sower, no one understood what He meant. Even His disciples did not understand such that they went to asked Jesus of the meaning. And Jesus said to them that the knowledge of the secret of the kingdom of God has been given to them, while to the others, it is only a parable. This is the difference between disciples of Christ who gave everything to follow the Lord and the crowd who only follows what the majority is following at that time. To the disciples of Christ has been given the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God, but they still has to ask. It is the same with us, if we want to know the secrets of teh kigndom of God, His wisdom, His Word, then we need to be disciples of Christ, that is one who is willing to let go of everything to follow the Lord and not one who follows the Lord just because following what the crowd is doing. And after we become the disciples of Christ and not just following the trend, let us ask the Lord of the meaning of His Words for us, of what He wants to teach us. Let the Holy Spirit teaches and opens revelations to us so that we may understand and know the secrets of the kingdom of God. So, wisdom and revelation are not only given to those in position such as pastors, priest or leaders, but to every believer who is a disciple of Christ and who asks of them to the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, let us start living as the disciples of Christ, read, meditate, study the Word of God and ask of the Lord for revelation and teaching.
