Pembacaan Alkitab: Galatia 3
Melalui penjelasan Paulus ini kita dapat melihat bahwa sejak awalnya, Tuhan telah merencanakan keselamatan bagi semua bangsa tanpa terkecuali. Sebab Tuhan berkata kepada Abraham, bapa leluhur Israel, bahwa, "Olehmu segala bangsa akan diberkati". Hal ini bukan hanya berbicara soal berkat yang Tuhan curahkan kepada Abraham dan keturunannya yang kemudian akan disalurkan kepada bangsa-bangsa, tetapi hal ini berkata tentang iman yang dimulai dari Abraham dan keturunannya, sehingga melalui iman, segala bangsa menjadi keturunan Abraham dan mendapatkan bagian dari janji-janji Tuhan kepada Abraham dan keturunannya. Jadi, Tuhan bukannya pilih kasih kepada Israel, tetapi pada saat itu, Abrahamlah yang memang hidupnya saleh dan benar di hadapan Tuhan sehingga Tuhan memilih Abraham dan keturunannya, yakni Israel, sebagai contoh bagaimana hidup bila dipimpin oleh Tuhan dan bersama dengan Tuhan. Tentunya banyak juga kesalahan dan dosa yang Israel lakukan di hadapan Tuhan, tetapi bila kita melihat kehidupan Israel ketika mereka taat kepada Tuhan dan hidup benar di hadapan Tuhan, kita melihat bagaimana kuasa Tuhan mengalir, dan melalui kesalahan dan dosa-dosa mereka kita juga melihat bagaimana pengampunan, kasih dan kesabaran Tuhan tercurah bagi Israel. Oleh karena itu, marilah kita belajar dari apa yang sudah tertulis di dalam Alkitab, sebab itu Tuhan ijinkan ada agar kita belajar dari apa yang telah terjadi, agar kita hidup taat, benar dan setia kepada Tuhan Yesus Kristus. Dan tentunya semua itu bermula dari iman kepada Tuhan. Jadi, sebagai keturunan Abraham dalam iman, marilah kita hidup taat, benar dan setia kepada Tuhan dan terimalah janji-janji yang Tuhan berikan kepada Abraham.

Bible Reading: Galatians 3
Through the explanation of Paul, we can see that from the beginning the Lord had planned salvation for all nations. For the Lord said to Abraham, the founding fathers of Israel, that, "All nations will be blessed through you". This is not just talking about the blessings that the Lord poured upon Abraham and his descendants that flowed to other nations, but this is also talking about faith that starts from Abraham and his descendants, that through faith, all nations bay become Abraham's descendants and take part of the promises God has made to Abraham and his descendants. So, the Lord did not play favouritism to Israel, but that time Abraham was living a righteous life before the Lord that the Lord chose Abraham and his descendants, Israelites, as an example of how it would be like to life guided by the Lord and with the Lord. Of course there are also many sins and iniquities that the Israelites did before the Lord, but if we look at their lives when they were obedient to the Lord and living righteously before God, we can see how the power of God flows, and through the iniquities and sins that they did, we can see how the forgiveness, love and patience of God is poured upon Israel. Therefore, let us learn from what is written in the Bible, for it has been allowed by the Lord so that we would learn from what has happened, so that we would live an obedient, righteous and faithful life before the Lord Jesus Christ. And of course all of that starts with faith to the Lord. So, as descendants of Abraham in faith, let us live an obedient, righteous and faithful life before the Lord and receive the promises of God to Abraham.

Oleh karena itu, marilah kita belajar dari apa yang sudah tertulis di dalam Alkitab, sebab itu Tuhan ijinkan ada agar kita belajar dari apa yang telah terjadi, agar kita hidup taat, benar dan setia kepada Tuhan Yesus Kristus. Dan tentunya semua itu bermula dari iman kepada Tuhan. Jadi, sebagai keturunan Abraham dalam iman, marilah kita hidup taat, benar dan setia kepada Tuhan dan terimalah janji-janji yang Tuhan berikan kepada Abraham.
