Pembacaan Alkitab: Keluaran 7-8
Dari kejadian di Mesir antara Musa dan Haurn melawan Firaun, serta ahli-ahli sihirnya, kita dapat melihat bahwa iblispun dapat melakukan mujijat yang serupa dengan apa yang Tuhan lakukan. Apa yang dilakukan oleh ahli-ahli sihir Firaun hanyalah meniru apa yang dilakukan oleh Tuhan melalui Musa dan Harun. Tetapi kuasa Tuhan jauh leibh besar, sehingga tongkat yang menjadi ular dari ahli-ahli sihir ditelan oleh ularnya Musa dan Harun. Ini menunjukkan bahwa kuasa Tuhan jauh lebih besar dan bahwa iblis hanya dapat meniru apa yang Tuhan lakukan. Satu bukti lagi bahwa kuasa iblis dibawah kuasa Tuhan dan bahwa ia hanya meniru Tuhan adalah ketika tulah pertama dan tulah kedua diturunkan Tuhan. Para ahli sihir hanya menunjukkan bahwa mereka dapat juga mengubah air menjadi darah dan memunculkan katak dari air. Bila memang kuasa iblis lebih besar, tentunya ia dapat mengubah darah itu kembali menjadi air dan membinasakan segala katak yang keluar dari air itu. Tetapi para ahli sihir itu tidak dapat dan pada akhirnya selalu Tuhan yang turun tangan untuk mengembalikan segalanya kepada semula. Dari kejadian-kejadian ini dapat kita lihat bahwa memang kuasa iblis itu nyata di dunia dan di jaman kini makin merajalela. Oleh karena itu kita perlu waspada dan selalu bersandar kepada Firman Tuhan dan pimpinan Roh Kudus agar kita tidak tertipu dan tidak goyah. Dan satu hal yang perlu kita ingat bahwa kuasa Tuhan jauh lebih besar dari kuasa iblis dan bahwa iblis telah dikalahkan oleh kematian dan kebangkitan Tuhan Yesus Kristus.

Bible Reading: Exodus 7-8
From the events in Egypt between Moses and Aaron against Pharaoh and his magicians, we can see that the devil is also capable of doing miracles similar to what the Lord did. What was done by Pharaoh's magician only a copy of what the Lord did through Moses and Aaron. But the power of God is far greater, that the rods of the magician that became snakes were eaten by the snake of Moses and Aaron. This shows that the power of God is greater than the power of the devil and that the devil can only imitate what God did. One more proof that the power of the devil is inferior to the power of God and that he only imitates the Lord is when the first and second plague was passed down. The magicians only showed that they too can turn water into blood and bring forth frogs from the waters. If the power of the devil is greater, then he should be able to turn blood back to water or to get rid of all the frogs. But the magicians could not and in the end the Lord is the One who return everything to what it was before. From these events we can see that the power of the devil is real and it is growing in this era. Therefore we need to be alert and always rely on the Word of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit so that we would not be deceived or waver. And one thing that we need to remember is that the power of God is far greater than the power of the devil and that the devil has been defeated by the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
