Paulus mengingatkan kepada Timotius, bahwa hukum Taurat bukanlah untuk orang benar, melainkan untuk orang yang berdosa. Dengan cara pemikiran yang sama, gereja bukanlah hanya untuk mereka yang benar, tetapi justru gereja adalah tempat untuk menerima mereka yang tidak diterima di masyarakat, tempat bagi mereka yang berdosa, berbuat cabul, sehingga mereka dapat mengenal kebenaran Tuhan dan dapat menerima keselamatan yang Tuhan telah berikan. Tetapi sayangnya banyak sekali gereja-gereja yang menganggap bahwa gereja hanyalah untuk orang yang benar, sehingga bila ada orang-orang yang belum bertobat datang, tidak banyak yang menyambut atau juga orang-orang tidak berani datang ke gereja karena mereka merasa masih berdosa dan kotor. Ini adalah pemikiran yang salah. Bila ada dari kita atau gereja ktia atau siapapun yang kita kenal memiliki pemikiran dan cara pandang yang seperti ini biarlah kita buang semua pemikiran yang salah dan biarlah kita ingatkan kepada gereja kita, dan orang-orang akan kebenaran Tuhan. Ingatlah dan ingatkanlah bahwa Tuhan datang ke dunia ini untuk menyelamatkan mereka yang belum terselamatkan, sebab bukan orang yang tidak sakit yang perlu dokter, tetapi orang sakit yang memerlukan dokter. Oleh karena itu, janganlah menolak orang-orang, tetapi sambutlah dan terimalah mereka dengan kasih dari Tuhan yang tulus dan murni.

Paul reminded Timothy that the law is not for the righteous, but for those who sins. With the same mindset, church is not only for those who are righteous, but in fact, church is a place for those who are outcast int he society, place for them who sins and commits immoral acts so that they may know the truth of God and can receive salvation that the Lord has given. Unfortunately, many churches that thought that church are only for the righteous such that if there are people who have not yet repented comes to church, not many people welcome them or these people do not dare to come to church because they think that they are still full of sin and dirty. This is the wrong perception. If there are any of us, our church or others we know have this kind of perception and mindset, let us throw it away and remind our church and others of the truth of God. Remember and remind other that the Lord to save those who are still lost, for not a healthy man who needs a doctor, but the sick needs the doctor. Therefore, do not reject people but welcome them and receive them with love from the Lord that is pure and willing.
