Pembacaan Alkitab: 1Tawarikh 9
Di dalam masa pembuangan Israel dan Yehuda, ada orang-orang yang diberi ijin untuk kembali tinggal di tanah-tanah milik mereka. Dari orang-orang itu ada para imam dan orang Lewi yang ikut serta, yang bertugas untuk menyelanggarakan ibadah di rumah Allah. Tugas para imam dan orang Lewi sangatlah penting sebab mereka mengingatkan Israel akan Tuhan dan untuk beribadah kepada Tuhan. Sebab selama pembuangan mereka tidak ada persekutuan dengan Tuhan, mereka dipaksa menyembah berhala dan sebagainya. Oleh karena itu dari orang-orang yang pertama kembali ke tanah Israel & Yehuda, ada para imam dan orang Lewi. Dapat kita ambil hikmah dari sini bahwa persekutuan dengan Tuhan itu sangatlah penting dan persekutuan di rumah Tuhan bersama sesama orang percaya jugalah penting. Sebab kehidupan sehari-hari kita seperti kehidupan Israel dan Yehuda dalam pembuangan, yakni penuh dengan tantangan dan hal-hal yang membuat kita jauh dari Tuhan. Oleh sebab itu kita perlu untuk selalu memiliki persekutuan dengan Tuhan. Kita juga perlu persekutuan dengan sesama orang percaya agar kita dapat saling menguatkan, mendukung dan menopang. Jadi, janganlah kita jauhkan diri dari persekutuan orang percaya, tetapi biarlah kita cari Tuhan secara pribadi dan juga bersama-sama.

During the times of exile of Israel and Judah, there are some people who are given the permission to go back to live in their own lands. From these people there are the priests and the Levites, who has the duty to minister the service in the house of God. The duty of the priests and the Levties is important because they reminded Israel of God and to have fellowship with the Lord. Because during their exile they had no fellowship with the Lord, they were forced to worship idols and others. Therefore, out of the first ones who came back to Israel and Judah, there were the priests and the Levites. We can take the wisdom here that fellowhsip with the Lord is important and fellowship in the house of the Lord with believers is also important. Because our daily lives are like the lives of Israel and Judah in exile, that it is full of challenges and things that makes us far from God. Therefore we need to always have fellowship with the Lord. We also need to have fellowhsip with our fellow beleivers so that we may strengthen, encourage and support one another. So, do not move away from the fellowhsip of believers, but let us seek the Lord personally and together.
