Pembacaan Alkitab: Matius 2
Sejak kelahiran Yesus ke dunia, ketika Ia masih bayipun banyak kejadian yang terjadi untuk menggenapi apa yang Tuhan telah Firmankan sejak dahulu kala. Dari nubuatan akan kelahiran Yesus, sampai kepada perkataan-perkataan Tuhan yang hanya sepatah dua kata, itupun terjadi sesuai seperti yang Tuhan katakan. Dan tentunya hal ini tidak disadari oleh orang-orang sampai setelah Yesus mati, bangkit dan naik ke Surga. Sebab kitab Matius ditulis setelah semuanya itu terjadi. Dan seringkali kita mendengar suara Tuhan, atau mendapatkan suatu janji dari Tuhan melalui Firman-Nya dan Roh Kudus yang membukakan pewahyuan bagi kita, tetapi kita tidak sadar atau mungkin lupa akan apa yang Tuhan telah katakan kepada kita. Tetapi setelah semuanya itu terjadi seperti yang Tuhan Firmankan, maka kita baru melihat bahwa apa yang Tuhan katakan tidak pernah gagal dan selalu terjadi. Biarlah melalui contoh kehidupan Yesus yang menggenapi banyak janji Tuhan, kita berpegang teguh kepada janji Tuhan agar kita tidak menyerah dan putus asa, tetapi tetap setia menunggu sampai waktu Tuhan tiba. Sebab apa yang telah Ia Firmankan pasti terjadi dan tidak dengan sia-sia.

Bible Reading: Matthew 2
Since the birth of Jesus to the earth, when He was even a baby there are many events that happened to fulfill what the Lord has said in the past. From the prophecies of the birth of Jesus to the small things that the Lord said, it all happened according to what He said. And of course this was not realised until Jesus died, rose from the dead and ascended to Heaven. For this book of Matthew was written after all that happened. And many times we hear the Word of God, or received a promise from the Lord through His Words and the Holy Spirit who gives revelation to us, but we do not realise or maybe forgot of what the Lord said to us. But after all that was promised happened, then we can see that what the Lord said never fails and always happen. Let it be that htrough the example of the life of Jesus that fulfills a lot of promises of God, we learn to hold firm to the promise of God so that we would not give up or lose heart, but we will wait faithfully until the time of God arrives. For what He has said will happen and will not be in vain.
