Pembacaan Alkitab: Mikha 4-5
Tuhan telah memberitahukan umat-Nya akan kedatangan seorang Mesias, seorang yang dari dulu sudah ada, yakni Yesus Kristus. Tetapi nubuatan tentang Yesus bukan hanya melalui Mikha, tetapi juga melalui banyak nabi-nabi lain seperti Yesaya, Yeremia dan bahkan berkat yang diucapkan oleh Yakub bagi anaknya Yehuda merupakan nubuatan yang ia sendiripun tidak ketahui. Dan bila kita melihat akan semua nubuatan-nubuatan ini kita akan mengerti bahwa Tuhan Yesus datang untuk menebus hidup umat-Nya dan menghapus dosa dan untuk itu Ia mati dan bangkit kembali. Sayangnya bangsa Israel tidak memahami akan hal ini ketika Yesus lahir dan mereka hanya mengambil sebagian dari keseluruhan nubuatan akan Yesus, Sang Mesias. Israel mengharapkan akan Yesus yang akan menjadi raja atas mereka secara jasmani, di dunia, atas Israel saja, sedangkan rencana Tuhan adalah untuk memerintah pada akhirnya dan untuk semua bangsa. Oleh karena itu biarlah kita juga tidak hanya mengambil Firman Tuhan yang kita suka saja, sehingga kita pada akhirnya dapat salah mengerti akan janji dan Firman Tuhan. Kita perlu untuk membaca dan mengerti Firman Tuhan secara keseluruhan dan bukan hanya sebagian saja. Jangan sampai kita seperti bangsa Israel 2000 tahun yang lalu yang salah menangkap Firman Tuhan sebab mereka hanya percaya atau hanya mau percaya akan sebagian dari Firman Tuhan dan bukan seluruhnya. Baca dan kenalilah Firman Tuhan seluruhnya, dengan pimpinan Roh Kudus agar kita kuat dan tidak mudah digoyangkan oleh tipuan iblis atau ajaran palsu.

Bible Reading: Micah 4-5
The Lord has told His people of the coming of a Messiah, who was there since the beginning, that is Jesus Christ. But the prophecies about Jesus was not only through Micah, but also through many other prophets like Isaiah and Jeremiah and even the blessings that was spoken by Jacob to his son Judah was actually a prophecy that Jacob himself did not know. And if we look at all these prophecies, we will understand that the Lord Jesus came to redeem the lives of His people and to wash away their sins and for that He died and rose again. Unfortunately Israel did not understand this when Jesus was born and they only took a part of the fullness of the prophecies of Jesus, the Messiah. Israel hoped that Jesus will be king over them physically, on earth, over Israel only, while the plan of the Lord is to reign and rule at the end and for all nations. Therefore, let us also not only take the Word of God that we like, that in the end we misunderstand of the promise and the Word of God. We need to read and understand the Word of God as a whole and not just a part of it. Do not let ourselves be like the Israel 2000 years ago who misunderstood the Word of God because they only believe or choose to only believe a part of the Word of God and not the fullness of the Word of God. Read and know the Word of God as a whole, in its fulness, by the guidance of Holy Spirit so that we will be strong and not easily swayed away by the deception of the devil or false teaching.
