Tuhan bernubuat tentang Babel oleh karena dosa mereka terhadap Sion dan terhadap rumah Tuhan. Dan dari pasal-pasal ini kita dapat mengerti bahwa pembalasan ada di tangan Tuhan dan bukan di tangan kita, manusia. Sebab kita hanyalah duta Tuhan yang mewakili Tuhan dan bila kita tertindas, atau bila rumah Tuhan ditindas, maka mereka menindas Tuhan dan bukan kita. Oleh karena itu pembalasan bukanlah bagian kita, tetapi bagian Tuhan. Sebagai manusia sangat mudah bagi kita untuk ingin membalas perbuatan orang lain yang jahat tehadap kita, atau menghakimi mereka yang berbuat jahat atau tidak sesuai dengan Firman Tuhan. Tetapi dua-duanya bukanlah bagian kita, sebab hanay Tuhanlah hakim yang adil dan Ia yang akan menurunkan hukumannya. Jadi, biarlah kita tetap melakukan bagian kita sebagai duta besar kerajaan Allah dan berikan hak pembalasan kepada Tuhan.

Bible Reading: Jeremiah 51-52
The Lord prophesies against Babylonians because of their sin towards Zion and the house of God. And from these chapters we can understand that payback is in the Lord's hands and not in ours. For we are only the ambassador of the Lord who represent the Lord and if we are oppressed, or if the house of the Lord is oppressed, then they are oppressing God and not us. Therefore, payback is not our part, it is the Lord's. As human it is very easy for us to want to payback the bad things others did to us or to judge them who did evil or not according to the Word of God. But both are not our part, for only the Lord is the just Judge and He will send punishment. So, let us keep on doing our part as His ambassador and give that right for payback to the Lord.
