Pembacaan Alkitab: Yeremia 15-17
Tuhan mengirimkan malapetaka terhadap bangsa ISrael karena ketidaksetiaan dan pemberontakan mereka. Tetapi di tengah-tengah itu semua, Tuhan juga memberikan kepada mereka nasihat, yakni prinsip untuk dapat hidup kembali di hadapan Tuhan. Prinsip ini adalah: Jangan mengandalkan manusia atau kekuatannya sendiri atau jauh hatinya daripada Tuhan. Tetapi, andalkanlah Tuhan dan berharaplah kepada-Nya. Firman Tuhan berkata bahwa mereka yang mengandalkan kekuatannya sendiri atau kekuatan manusia akan terkutuk dan mereka yang mengandalkan Tuhan dan berharap kepada-Nya akan terberkati dengan luar biasa. Tuhan tidak berkata bahwa akan secara langsung diberkati dengan buah, tetapi seperti pohon yang tidak pernah kering dan akan selalu berbuah. Ingatlah bahwa pohonpun perlu untuk terus bertumbuh dan bila sudah cukup dewasa, maka ia akan menghasilkan buah. Inilah janji Tuhan, bahwa bila kita terus andalkan Tuhan dan berharap kepada-Nya, maka kita akan tidak pernah kering, akan terus tumbuh sehingga pada saatnya kita akan menikmati buah-buah dari kesetiaan kita kepada Tuhan. Jadi, janganlah putus asa, janganlah menyerah bila kita belum melihat hasil dari mengandalkan Tuhan, tetapi teruslah berharap dan mengandalkan Tuhan dan janganlah andalkan manusia atau kekuatan sendiri. Sebab bila kita tidak lalai, kita akan menuai pada waktunya.

Bible Reading: Jeremiah 15-17
The Lord sends troubles to the Israelites due to their unfaithfulness and rebellion. But in the midst of all that, the Lord also gave them advice, that is also a principle on how to live before the Lord. This principle is: Not to rely on men, or own strength or far away from God. But rely on the Lord and hope in Him. The Word of God says that those who rely on their own strength or on the strength of men are cursed and those who rely on God and hope ion Him will be blessed abundantly. The Lord did not say that we will immediately blessed with fruits, but we will be as a tree that will never thirst and will always bear fruits. Remember that trees need to grow and when it is mature enough then it will bear fruits. This is the promise of God, that if we keep on relying on the Lord and hope in Him, then we will never run dry, and will keep on growing and when the time comes, we will enjoy the fruits from our faithfulness to the Lord. So, do not lose hope, do not give up if we have not seen the fruits from relying on God yet, but keep on putting our hope in the Lord and relying on Him and do not rely on men or own strength. For if we are diligent, we will reap when the time comes.

Firman Tuhan berkata bahwa mereka yang mengandalkan kekuatannya sendiri atau kekuatan manusia akan terkutuk dan mereka yang mengandalkan Tuhan dan berharap kepada-Nya akan terberkati dengan luar biasa. Tuhan tidak berkata bahwa akan secara langsung diberkati dengan buah, tetapi seperti pohon yang tidak pernah kering dan akan selalu berbuah. Ingatlah bahwa pohonpun perlu untuk terus bertumbuh dan bila sudah cukup dewasa, maka ia akan menghasilkan buah. Inilah janji Tuhan, bahwa bila kita terus andalkan Tuhan dan berharap kepada-Nya, maka kita akan tidak pernah kering, akan terus tumbuh sehingga pada saatnya kita akan menikmati buah-buah dari kesetiaan kita kepada Tuhan. Jadi, janganlah putus asa, janganlah menyerah bila kita belum melihat hasil dari mengandalkan Tuhan, tetapi teruslah berharap dan mengandalkan Tuhan dan janganlah andalkan manusia atau kekuatan sendiri. Sebab bila kita tidak lalai, kita akan menuai pada waktunya.

So, do not lose hope, do not give up if we have not seen the fruits from relying on God yet, but keep on putting our hope in the Lord and relying on Him and do not rely on men or own strength. For if we are diligent, we will reap when the time comes.
