Pembacaan Alkitab: Ayub 41-42

Setelah Tuhan menjawab Ayub, Ayub menjawab Tuhan demgan pertobatan dan bukan pembelaan diri. Dan karena pertobatannya, Tuhan memulihkan Ayub dan memberkatinya sehingga ia kembali menjadi orang yang kaya dan bahkan lebih dari apa yang ia miliki sebelumnya. Di samping itu, Ayub juga tetap disebut sebagai orang benar oleh Tuhan, sebab ia bertobat di hadapan Tuhan dan tidak berbantah atau mencoba membela diri. Biarlah kita juga belajar untuk bertobat ketika Tuhan menunjukkan kemuliaan-Nya dan ketika Ia menjawab kita melalui Alkitab, melalui bisikan Roh Kudus atau melalui orang-orang. Janganlah kita membela diri sebab dengam demikian kita masih menganggap bahwa diri kita benar dan secara tidak langsung kita berkata bahwa Tuhan yang salah. Bila demikian, maka kita maaih ada kesombongan dan hati yang tidak mau diajar. Maka dari itu, biarlah kita terus rendah hati dan bertobat karena Firman Tuhan. Biarlah hidup kita terus diubahkan melalui Firman-Nya agar kita hidup benar di hadapan-Nya.

Bible Reading: Job 41-42

After the Lord answered Job, Job responded with a repentance and not self defense that he was righteous. Because of His repentance, the Lord restored Job and in the end he had far more than what he had before. Beside that, Job was still called righteous before God because he repented and did not try tondefend himself with his self-righteousness. Let us also learn to repent when the Lord shows His glory or anseers us through the Bible, through the whisper of the Holy Spirit, or through people around us. Do not be self-righteous and self-defensive, because if we do that,  we still think that we are right and in turn the Lord is wrong. If so,  then we still have that pride in us and a heart that is not willing to be taught. Therefore let us keep on being humble and repentant because of the Word of God. Let our lives keep on being changed by the Word of God so that we may live righteously before God.
