Cinta itu lebih kuat daripada maut. Ini adalah pernyataan yang sangat benar. Sebab karena cinta kasih Tuhan kepada umat-Nya, Tuhan mengalahkan maut agar kita memperoleh kehidupan kekal. Cinta juga tidak dapat dibeli dengan uang atau harta benda. Oleh karena itu, bila cinta berdasarkan akan hal-hal materi, maka itu bukanlah cinta. Tetapi sayangnya banyak sekali yang menikah, memilih pasangan hanya karena hal-hal materi dan bukan karena memang adanya cinta yang murni seperti kasih Tuhan kepada kita, umat-Nya. Tetapi Firman ini juga mengingatkan kita bahwa walaupun cinta itu kuat, bila kita sampai terlalu terobsesi, maka kecemburuan yang muncul dari gairah itu juga kuat dan seperti api akan menelan kita yang bersangkutan. Oleh karena itu, jauhkanlah rasa cemburu dan terutama cemburu yang muncul karena gairah terhadap pasangan atau orang yang kita cintai. Jadi, bila kita mencintai seseorang, biarlah itu bukan karena hal materi dan jangan biarkan api cemburu membakar diri kita, tetapi biarlah di dalam hubungan kita bersama pasangan, suami atau istri kita, kita ikut-sertakan Tuhan dan Firman-Nya agar kita berjalan sesuai Firman-Nya.

Love is stronger than death. This is a true declaration. For because of love of the Lord towards His people, the Lord defeated death so that we would receive eternal life. Love also cannot be bought by money or treasures. Therefore, if a lvoe is based on material things, then it is not love. Unfortunately, there are many who are married, or looking for partners only because of material things and not because of true love like the love of the Lord towards us, His people. But this Word of God also reminds us that even though love is strong, if we become obsessed, then jealousy that roused from lust is also strong and is like a fire that will devour us who are involved. Therefore, stay away from jealousy, especially jealousy that roused from lust towards our partner or the one we love. So, if we love someone, let it be not because of material things and do not let the fire of jealousy devours us, but let it be that we let God and His Word be involved in our relationship with our partner, husband or wife, so that we would walk according to His Word.
