Pembacaan Alkitab: Kisah Para Rasul 6
Ketika para rasul perlu untuk membagikan tugas untuk pelayanan meja, yakni pelayanan di jalan kepada orang-orang yang membutuhkan, mereka berkata agar dipilih orang-orang yang penuh Roh dan hikmat untuk melayani. Pada saat itu sudah ada banyak orang yang percaya kepada Tuhan Yesus tetapi tidak semua orang hidup dengan kepenuhan Roh Kudus. Dan ini adalah situasi yang sama pada jaman sekarang ini. Ada banyak orang-orang percaya yang tidak hidup kepenuhan dan dipimpin oleh Roh Kudus. Sehingga dalam kehidupan mereka tidak ada kuasa Roh Kudus. Para rasul memilih orang yang kepenuhan Roh Kudus dan hikmat agar ketika mereka melayani, mereka melayani dengan kuasa dan hikmat Roh Kudus dan bukan kekuatan atau akal budi manusia. Di tambah dengan iman, maka mujizat akan terjadi ketika kita melayani. Oleh karena itu, biarlah kita selalu meminta agar Tuhan memenuhi kita dengan Roh Kudusnya. Baik kita melayani atau tidak , biarlah kehidupan kita sehari-harinya penuh dengan Roh Kudus dan dipimpin agar kita hidup dengan kuasa Tuhan. Lebih lagi bila kita melayani Tuhan dan umat-Nya, kita memerlukan kuasa Roh Kudus dan hikmat-Nya, sebab sebagai manusia kita penuh dengan dosa dan kelemahan, tetapi dengan Roh Kudus, maka orang-orang akan melihat kuasa Tuhan dan kita sendiripun makin terbangun imannya karena Roh Kudus yang bekerja melalui kita walaupun kita banyak dosa dan kelemahan. Jadi, kejarlah kehidupan yang kepenuhan dengan Roh Kudus, sebab Tuhan Yesus sendiri berkata bahwa Ia akan mengirimkan Roh Kudus kepada umat-Nya.

When the apostles wanted to share the task of ministering in the daily needs, that is to serve them who are in needs on the streets, they said that they should choose someone who is full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom to serve. At that time there were a lot of people who believed in the Lord Jesus but not all are full with the Holy Spirit. And this is the same situation that we face in this era. There are a lot of believers who do not live a life full of the Holy Spirit and led by the Holy Spirit. Such that their lives has no power of the Holy Spirit. The apostles chose them who are full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom so that when they minister, they minister with the power and wisdom of Holy Spirit and not the power and minds of men. Then adding faith to that, miracles will happen when we minister. Therefore, let us always ask for the Lord to fill us with the Holy Spirit. Whether we are ministering or not, let our daily lives be filled with the Holy Spirit and be led by Him so that we live with the power of God. Moreover, if we ministering to God and His people, then we need the power of Holy Spirit and His wisdom, because as human we are full of sin and weaknesses, but with the Holy Sprit, people will see the power of God and our faith will also increase because we witness the Holy Spirit who works through us even though we are full of sins and weaknesses. So, chase after a Holy Spirit-filled life, because the Lord Jesus Himself said that He will send Holy Spirit to His people.
