Pembacaan Alkitab: Lukas 4
Kita sudah sering membaca dan mendengar cerita tentang Yesus yang dicobai setelah puasa selama 40 hari. Tetapi mungkin kita tidak pernah berpikir akan mengapa Yesus dicobai. Dari kisah Ayub, kita tahu bahwa iblis dapat datang menghadap Tuhan dan berbincang dengan-Nya, tetapi tidak dapat mencobai Tuhan. Tetapi Yesus yang adalah Tuhan datang ke dunia sebagai manusia, oleh karena itulah iblis mencobai Yesus, sebab karena Ia adalah manusia, Ia juga memiliki keterbatasan manusia. Tetapi justru dari pencobaan iblis terhadap Yesus kita dapat melihat contoh yang luar biasa, bukan hanya kita dapat melawan cobaan iblis dengan kuasa Tuhan, tetapi ini membuktikan bahwa Tuhan Yesus memang 100% Tuhan dan 100% manusia Dan sebagai manusia, Ia merasakan apa yang kita rasakan, Ia yang begitu besar dan tidak terbatas menjadi terbatas karena Ia menjadi manusia. Sungguh besar kasih Tuhan kepada kita, sehingga Ia rela melepaskan tahta-Nya agar kita dapat selamat. Oleh karena itu, biarlah kita selalu datang kepada-Nya. Jangan anggap karena Ia Tuhan, sehingga Ia tidak mengerti kehidupan manusia, justru sebaliknya, Ia sangat mengerti dan Iapun tahu bagaimana kita berpikir sehingga Ia juga perlu untuk menjadi manusia untuk menyelamatkan kita dan untuk memperlihatkan bahwa Iapun melewati hal yang sama dan bahkan lebih dari kita semua. Jadi, tidak ada hal yang Ia tidak mengerti, oleh karena itu, janganlah lagi kita ragukan Tuhan, tetapi percayalah dengan sepenuh hati kita dan datanglah kepada-Nya dalam segala hal.

We have heard and read the story about Jesus tempted by the devil after his 450 days of fasting, many times. But maybe we have not thought of why Jesus was tempted. From the story of Job, we know that the devil can come before the Lord and talk to Him, but cannot tempt God. But Jesus is the Lord who came to earth as human, that is why the devil tempted Jesus, because He was a man, He also has the limitation of man. But because of the temptation, we can see an amazing example, not only that we can fight the devil's temptations with the power of God, this also proves that the Lord Jesus is 100% God and also 100% man. And as man, He feels what we feel, He who is so great and infintie became finite because He became human. His love for us is truly great, such that He is willing to stoop down from His throne so that we may be saved. Therefore, let us always come to Him. Do not think that because He is God, He does not understand the life of men, in fact, it is quite the opposite, He really understands and He knows how we think such that He also needed to come down to save us and show us that He went through the same life on earth and even more. So, there is nothing that He does not understand, therefore, do not doubt God any longer, but believe with all of our hearts and come to Him about evreything.

Tetapi justru dari pencobaan iblis terhadap Yesus kita dapat melihat contoh yang luar biasa, bukan hanya kita dapat melawan cobaan iblis dengan kuasa Tuhan, tetapi ini membuktikan bahwa Tuhan Yesus memang 100% Tuhan dan 100% manusia Dan sebagai manusia, Ia merasakan apa yang kita rasakan, Ia yang begitu besar dan tidak terbatas menjadi terbatas karena Ia menjadi manusia. Sungguh besar kasih Tuhan kepada kita, sehingga Ia rela melepaskan tahta-Nya agar kita dapat selamat. Oleh karena itu, biarlah kita selalu datang kepada-Nya. Jangan anggap karena Ia Tuhan, sehingga Ia tidak mengerti kehidupan manusia, justru sebaliknya, Ia sangat mengerti dan Iapun tahu bagaimana kita berpikir sehingga Ia juga perlu untuk menjadi manusia untuk menyelamatkan kita dan untuk memperlihatkan bahwa Iapun melewati hal yang sama dan bahkan lebih dari kita semua. Jadi, tidak ada hal yang Ia tidak mengerti, oleh karena itu, janganlah lagi kita ragukan Tuhan, tetapi percayalah dengan sepenuh hati kita dan datanglah kepada-Nya dalam segala hal.
