Pembacaan Alkitab: Yohanes 16

Tuhan Yesus sendiri yang telah mengatakan bahwa Ia akan mengirimkan Roh Kudus untuk menggantikan Dia setelah Ia naik ke Surga. Tuhan Yesus berkata bahwa melalui Roh Kuduslah orang-orang dapat diinsafkan dari dosa, kebenaran dan penghakiman. Roh Kudus jugalah yang akan memimpin kita ke dalam seluruh kebenaran. Jadi jika pada perjanjian lama Bapa sendiri yang beracara di tengah-tengah umat-Nya dan bila pada jaman Yesus, Yesus Kristus yang lahir sebagai manusia yang beracara di tengah-tengah umat-Nya, pada jaman sekarang ini, Roh Kuduslah yang beracara di tengah-tengah kita.

Mengetahui hal ini, marilah kita minta agar hidup kita dipenuhi oleh Roh Kudus setiap harinya dan marilah kita bersekutu erat dengan Roh Kudus. Dalam segala hal yang kita lakukan, baik itu membaca Firman Tuhan, memuji, menyembah, bersaksi, memberitakan Injil, melayani, bekerja, mengurus rumah tangga, biarlah kita bersandar dan meminta Roh Kudus untuk memimpin kita di dalam seluruh kebenaran. Dan bila Roh Kudus yang bekerja, ingatlah bahwa bukan karena kekuatan kita, tetapi apa yang kita lakukan, buah yang kita hasilkan semua karena Roh Kudus. Jadi, biarlah kita selalu bersekutu dengan Roh Kudus.

Bible Reading: John 16

The Lord Jesus Himself has said that He will send the Holy Spirit to take His place after He ascends to heaven. The Lord Jesus said that the Holy Spirit is the One who will convict us from sin, truth and judgment. The Holy Spirit is also the One who will lead us into the whole truth. So if in the old testament the Father Himself is the One who works in the midst of His people and in the times of Jesus, Jesus Christ who was born as man who works in the midst of His peoiple, in this era, the Holy Spirit is the One who works in our midst.

Knowing this, let us ask so that our lives be filled with the Holy Spirit everyday and let us have an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. In all things that we do, may it be reading the Bible, praising, worshiping, testifying, preaching the Gospel, ministering, working, taking care of household things, let us rely and ask the Holy Spirit to lead us in the whole truth. And if the Holy Spirit Who works, remember that it is not by our strength, but what we do, the fruits we bear are all because of Holy Spirit. So let us always communicate with the Holy Spirit.
