Melakukan Bagian Kita | Doing Our Part

Seperti perintah yang Tuhan berikan pada awalnya kepada Musa dan bangsa Israel, bahwa orang-orang suku Lewi tidak mendapatkan tanah sebagai warisan yang didapat oleh karena perang, tetapi mereka mendapatkan kota-kota dari suku-suku Israel lainnya. Suku Lewi adalah para imam dan para pengurus rumah Tuhan. Bisa di katakan bahwa kita semua yang melayani Tuhan di gereja adalah para imam dan bagian sari suku Lewi secara rohani. Yang perlu kita perhatikan di sini adalah bahwa Tuhan selalu menjaga kehidupan umat-Nya. Bagi mereka yang hidup hanya untuk melayani Tuhan, seperti suku lewi dan para imam, Tuhan menjaga kehidupan mereka dan segala kebutuhan mereka melalui saudara-saudara mereka, yakni umat Tuhan. Dan tentunya itu memerlukan ketaatan umat Tuhan dalam memberi apa yang menjadi milik Tuhan dan milik para imam dan suku lewi. Dan itu juga memerlukan ketaatan dari para imam dan suku Lewi untuk melayani dan memberkati umat Tuhan dengan setia.

Jadi, bila kita melakukan bagian kita di dalam Tuhan, Tuhan yang akan mencukupi segala kebutuhan kita. Baik kita memberikan seluruh hidup kita hanya untuk melayani Tuhan, atau kita melakukan bagian kita untuk bekerja dan menghasilkan buah di dunia, asalkan kita taat dan setia kepada Tuhan dan Firman-Nya, maka tangan Tuhan akan selalu beserta kita seperti Ia beserta Israel. Jadi, marilah kita lakukan bagian kita apapun itu, dengan taat dan setia sehingga apa yang Tuhan telah rencanakan untuk kita dapat kita lihat.

Bible Reading: 1Chronicles 6

Just as the Lord has commanded in the beginning to Moses and Israelites, that the Levites do not have an inheritance, but they are given cities from the other tribes of Israel. The Levites are priests and workers of the house of the Lord. It can be said that we who are ministering the Lord at church are priests and part of the Levites, spiritually. What we need to look closely here is that the Lord always takes care of the lives of His people. For them who lives only to serve the Lord, just like the Levites and the priests, the Lord took care of their lives and all their needs through their brethren, the people of the Lord. And of course, it takes the obedience of the people of the Lord in giving what belong to the Lord and to the priests and Levites. And it also takes obedience of the priests and the Levites to serve and bless the people of the Lord faithfully.

So, if we do our part in the Lord, the Lord will fulfill our needs. May be we are giving our whole lives just to serve the Lord, or we are doing our part to work and produce fruits in the world, as long as we obey and faithful to the Lord and His Words, then the hand of the Lord will be with us just as He was with Israel. So, let us do our part what ever it may be, with obedience and faithfulness so that, what the Lord has planned for us can be seen.
