Pembacaan Alkitab: 2Raja-Raja 3

Dalam pasal ini kita dapat melihat bahwa tiga raja yang datang ingin menyerang raja Moab, yakni raja Israel, raja Yehuda dan raja Edom. Mereka kekurangan air dan dalam keadaan yang lemah sehingga mereka berkata bahwa Tuhan menyerahkan mereka ke tangan Moab. Dan di tengah-tengah kelelahan itu, Yosafat, raja Yehuda, mencari seorang nabi Tuhan untuk meminta petunjuk lalu mereka mencari nabi Elisa untuk meminta petunjuk. Di antara ketiga raja itu, hanyalah Yosafat, raja Yehuda, yang mengikuti jalan Tuhan dan hanya karena Yosafatlah nabi Elisa rela memperrtanyakan kepada Tuhan tentang hal Moab. Pada akhirnya mereka menang dan Moab terkalahkan dan bahkan ketiga raja ini melihat mujizat Tuhan yang memberikan kepada mereka semua air untuk diminum.

Dari kejadian di atas, kita dapat lihat bahwa nabi Elisa hanya akan mencari Firman Tuhan hanya karena Yosafat, yakni orang yang takut akan Tuhan. Sedangkan raja Israel dan raja Edom, adalah orang-orang yang berbuat jahat di mata Tuhan. Dari sini, kita dapat belajar bahwa jika ada seorang yang percaya kepada TUhan, yang hidup benar sesuai dengan Firman Tuhan, maka seseorang itu akan dapat mempengaruhi kehidupan orang-orang di sekitarnya. Seperti Yosafat, yang karenanya, raja Israel, raja Edom beserta seluruh tentara mereka dapat merasakan mujizat Tuhan dan kemenangan yang Tuhan berikan. Marilah kita belajar seperti Yosafat. Marilah kita ketahui bahwa kehadiran kita di suatu tempat, baik itu di keluarga, di tempat kerja, di dalam partner bisnis, di sekolah dan sebagainya, kita dapat menjadi berkat dan saksi bahwa Tuhan Yesus Kristuslah Allah. Jika hanya karena Yosafat sendir yang mencari Tuhan dan 2 raja beserta tentara mereka selamat, maka bila kita juga berdoa, mencari Tuhan, melakukan sesuai dengan Firman-Nya dan berdoa bagi orang-orang di sekitar kita, maka mereka akan melihat kesaksian hidup kita dan mereka juga akan dapat merasakan mujizat Tuhan melalui kehidupan kita, sehingga mereka dapat percaya kepada Tuhan Yesus Kristus. jadi, mari kita hidup berpengaruh dan menjadi pengaruh yang baik yang memuliakan Tuhan.

In this chapter we can see that there are 3 kings that comes to attack the king of Moab, that is kings of Israel, Judah and Edom. They were running out of water and in a weak state that they said that the Lord is giving their lives to the Moabites. And in the midst of their weak state, Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, sought a prophet of the Lord to ask for guidance and then they find the prophet Elisha to ask for guidance. between the three kings, only Jehoshaphat who follows the way of the Lord and only because of him that Elisha is willing to ask the Lord about Moab. In the end they won against Moab and they also saw a miracle of the Lord who gave them all water to drink.

From this event, we can see that Elisha was only going to seek the word of the Lord only because of Jehoshaphat, a person who fears the Lord. While the kings of Israel and Edom are people who did wicked things before the Lord. From here we can learn that if there is one person who believes in the Lord, who lives righteously according tot he Word of God, then that person will be able to influenced the lives of the people around them. Like Jehoshaphat, whom because of him, kings of Israel and Edom and their entire army can experience the miracles of the Lord and the victory that the Lord gave. Let us learn to be like Jehoshaphat. Let us realise that our presence in a place, may it be in our family, in our workplace, with our business partners, at school and etc, we can be a blessing and a witness that the Lord Jesus Christ is God. If only because of Jehoshaphat alone who seek the Lord and 2 kings along with their army can be saved, then if we also pray, seek the Lord, do according to His Word and pray for the people around us, then they will be able to see the testimonies of our lives and they can also experience the miracle of the Lord through our lives, such that they would believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. So, let us live an influential life and become a good influence that glorifies the Lord.
